Deu 6:4  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!

Emor (אֱמֹר — Hebrew for “speak,” the fifth word, and the first distinctive word, in the parashah) is the 31st weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה, parashah) in the annual cycle of Torah reading and the eighth in the book of Leviticus. It constitutes Leviticus 21:1–24:23. The parashah has the most verses (although not the most letters or words) of any of the weekly Torah portions in the book of Leviticus, and is made up of 6,106 Hebrew letters, 1,614 Hebrew words, and 124 verses and can occupy about 215 lines in a Torah Scroll (סֵפֶר תּוֹרָה, Sefer Torah). (Parashah Vayikra has the most letters and words of any weekly Torah portion in Leviticus.)

Generally read in early May, or rarely in late April. Jews also read parts of the parashah, Leviticus 22:26–23:44, as the initial Torah readings for the second day of Passover and the first and second days of Sukkot.

In traditional Sabbath Torah reading, the parashah is divided into seven readings, or עליות, aliyot

Torah: Leviticus 21:1 – 24:23

1st reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 21:1 – 21:15

Lev 21:1  And יהוה said to Mosheh, “Speak to the priests, the sons of Aharon, and say to them: ‘No one is to be defiled for the dead among his people,

Lev 21:2  except for his relatives who are nearest to him: for his mother, and for his father, and for his son, and for his daughter, and for his brother;

Lev 21:3  and for his maiden sister who is near to him, who has had no husband – for her he is defiled.

Lev 21:4  ‘A leader does not defile himself among his people, to profane himself;

Lev 21:5  they do not make any bald place on their heads, and they do not shave the corner of their beard, and they do not make a cutting in their flesh.

Lev 21:6  ‘They are set-apart to their Elohim and do not profane the Name of their Elohim, for they bringאה  the offerings of יהוה made by fire, and the bread of their Elohim, and shall be set-apart.

Lev 21:7  ‘They do not take a woman who is a whore or a defiled woman, and they do not take a woman put away from her husband, for he is set-apart to his Elohim.

Lev 21:8  ‘And you shall set him apart, for he brings אה the bread of your Elohim, he is set-apart to you. For I, יהוה, setting you apart, am set-apart.

Lev 21:9  ‘And when the daughter of any priest profanes herself by whoring, she profanes אה her father. She is burned with fire.

Lev 21:10  ‘And the high priest among his brothers, on whose head the anointing oil was poured and אה who is ordained to wear the garments, does not unbind his head nor tear his garments,

Lev 21:11  nor come near any dead body, nor defile himself for his father or his mother,

Lev 21:12  nor go out of the set-apart place, nor profane אה the set-apart place of his Elohim, for the sign of dedication of the anointing oil of his Elohim is upon him. I am יהוה.

Lev 21:13  ‘And let him take a wife in her maidenhood.

Lev 21:14  ‘A widow or one put away or a defiled woman or a whore – these he does not take. But a maiden of his own people he does take as a wife.

Lev 21:15  ‘And he does not profane his offspring among his people, for I am יהוה, who sets him apart.’ ”

2nd reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 21:15 – 22:16

Lev 21:16  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 21:17  “Speak to Aharon, saying, ‘No man of your offspring throughout their generations, who has any defect, is to draw near to bring the bread of his Elohim.

Lev 21:18  ‘For any man who has a defect is not to draw near: a man blind or one lame or disfigured or deformed,

Lev 21:19  a man who has a broken foot or broken hand,

Lev 21:20  or is a hunchback or a dwarf, or a man who has a defect in his eye, or eczema or scab, or is a eunuch.

Lev 21:21  ‘No man among the offspring of Aharon the priest, who has a defect, is to come near to bring the offerings made by fire to יהוה – he has a defect, he does not come near to bring the bread of his Elohim.

Lev 21:22  ‘He does eat the bread of his Elohim, both the most set-apart and the set-apart,

Lev 21:23  only, he does not go near the veil or approach the altar, because he has a defect, lest he profanes My set-apart places. For I am יהוה, who sets them apart.’ ”

Lev 21:24  Thus Mosheh spoke to Aharon and his sons, and to all the children of Yisra’ĕl.

Lev 22:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 22:2  “Speak to Aharon and his sons, that they separate themselves from the set-apart offerings of the children of Yisra’ĕl, and that they do not profane My set-apart Name in what they set apart to Me. I am יהוה.

Lev 22:3  “Say to them, ‘Any man of all your offspring throughout your generations who draws near the set-apart offerings which the children of Yisra’ĕl set apart to יהוה, while he has uncleanness upon him, that being shall be cut off from before Me. I am יהוה.

Lev 22:4  ‘Any man of the offspring of Aharon, who is a leper or has a discharge, does not eat the set-apart offerings until he is clean. And whoever touches what is rendered unclean by a corpse, or a man who has had an emission of semen,

Lev 22:5  or a man who touches any creeping creature by which he would be made unclean, or any being by whom he would become unclean, even any of his uncleanness;

Lev 22:6  the being who has touched it shall be unclean until evening, and does not eat the set-apart offerings, but shall bathe his body in water.

Lev 22:7  ‘And when the sun goes down he shall be clean, and afterward eat the set-apart offerings, because it is his food.

Lev 22:8  ‘He does not eat that which dies or is torn by beasts, becoming unclean by it. I am יהוה.

Lev 22:9  ‘And they shall guard אה My Charge, lest they bear sin for it and die thereby, when they profane it. I יהוה set them apart.

Lev 22:10  ‘And no stranger eats the set-apart offering. A sojourner with the priest, or a hired servant, does not eat the set-apart offering.

Lev 22:11  ‘But when the priest buys a being with his money, he does eat of it. And one who is born in his house does eat his food.

Lev 22:12  ‘And when a priest’s daughter is married to a stranger, she does not eat of the set-apart offerings.

Lev 22:13  ‘But when a priest’s daughter is a widow or put away, and has no child, and has returned to her father’s house as in her youth, she does eat her father’s food, but no stranger eats of it.

Lev 22:14  ‘And when a man eats the set-apart offering by mistake, then he shall give a set-apart offering to the priest, and add one-fifth to it.

Lev 22:15  ‘And let the priests not profane the set-apart offerings of the children of Yisra’ĕl, which they lift up to יהוה,

Lev 22:16  or allow them to bear the crookedness of trespass when they eat their set-apart offerings. For I am יהוה, who sets them apart.’ ”

3rd reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 22:17 – 22:33

Lev 22:17  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 22:18  “Speak to Aharon and his sons, and to all the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘Any man of the house of Yisra’ĕl, or of the strangers in Yisra’ĕl, who brings his offering for any of his vows or for any of his voluntary offerings, which they bring to יהוה as a burnt offering,

Lev 22:19  for your acceptance, is a male, a perfect one from the cattle, from the sheep, or from the goats.

Lev 22:20  ‘Whatever has a defect, you do not bring, for it is not acceptable for you.

Lev 22:21  ‘And when a man brings a peace offering to יהוה, to complete a vow, or a voluntary offering from the cattle or the sheep, it is to be perfect to be accepted, let there be no defect in it.

Lev 22:22  ‘Those blind or broken or having a cut, or have an ulcer or eczema or scabs, you do not bring to יהוה, nor make an offering by fire of them on the altar to יהוה.

Lev 22:23  ‘As for a bull or a lamb that has any limb deformed or dwarfed you do prepare as a voluntary offering, but for a vow it is not accepted.

Lev 22:24  ‘Do not bring to יהוה what is bruised or crushed, or torn or cut, nor do it in your land.

Lev 22:25  ‘And from a son of a stranger’s hand you do not bring any of these as אה the bread of your Elohim, for their corruption is in them, and defects are in them, they are not acceptable for you.’ ”

Lev 22:26  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 22:27  “When a bull or a sheep or a goat is born, it shall be seven days with its mother. And from the eighth day and thereafter it is acceptable as an offering made by fire to יהוה.

Lev 22:28  “But do not slaughter a cow or a sheep and its young on the same day.

Lev 22:29  “And when you bring a slaughtering of thanksgiving to יהוה, bring it for your acceptance.

Lev 22:30  “It is eaten that same day, leave none of it till morning. I am יהוה.

Lev 22:31  “And you shall guard My commands and do them. I am יהוה.

Lev 22:32  “And do not profane My set-apart Name, and I shall be set-apart among the children of Yisra’ĕl. I am יהוה, who sets you apart,

Lev 22:33  who brought you out of the land of Mitsrayim, to be your Elohim. I am יהוה.”

4th reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 23:1 – 23:22

Lev 23:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:2  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and say to them, ‘The appointed times of יהוה, which you are to proclaim as set-apart gatherings, My appointed times, are these:

Lev 23:3  ‘Six days work is done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of rest, a set-apart gathering. You do no work, it is a Sabbath to יהוה in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:4  ‘These are the appointed times of יהוה, set-apart gatherings which you are to proclaim at their appointed times.

Lev 23:5  ‘In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, between the evenings, is the Passover to יהוה.

Lev 23:6  ‘And on the fifteenth day of this month is the Festival of Unleavened Bread to יהוה – seven days you eat unleavened bread.

Lev 23:7  ‘On the first day you have a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.

Lev 23:8  ‘And you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה for seven days. On the seventh day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.’ ”

Lev 23:9  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:10  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and you shall say to them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, and shall reap אה its harvest, then you shall bring אה a sheaf of the first-fruits of your harvest to the priest.

Lev 23:11  ‘And he shall wave אה the sheaf before יהוה, for your acceptance. On the morrow after the Sabbath the priest waves it.

Lev 23:12  ‘And on that day when you wave אה the sheaf, you shall prepare a male lamb a year old, a perfect one, as a burnt offering to יהוה,

Lev 23:13  and its grain offering: two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour mixed with oil, an offering made by fire to יהוה, a sweet fragrance, and its drink offering: one-fourth of a hin of wine.

Lev 23:14  ‘And you do not eat bread or roasted grain or fresh grain until the same day that you have brought אה an offering to your Elohim – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:15  ‘And from the morrow after the Sabbath, from the day that you brought אה the sheaf of the wave offering, you shall count for yourselves: seven completed Sabbaths.

Lev 23:16  ‘Until the morrow after the seventh Sabbath you count fifty days, then you shall bring a new grain offering to יהוה.

Lev 23:17  ‘Bring from your dwellings for a wave offering two loaves of bread, of two-tenths of an ĕphah of fine flour they are, baked with leaven, first-fruits to יהוה.

Lev 23:18  ‘And besides the bread, you shall bring seven lambs a year old, perfect ones, and one young bull and two rams. They are a burnt offering to יהוה, with their grain offering and their drink offerings, an offering made by fire for a sweet fragrance to יהוה.

Lev 23:19  ‘And you shall offer one male goat as a sin offering, and two male lambs a year old, as a peace offering.

Lev 23:20  ‘And the priest shall wave them, besides the bread of the first-fruits, as a wave offering before יהוה, besides the two lambs. They are set-apart to יהוה for the priest.

Lev 23:21  ‘And on this same day you shall proclaim a set-apart gathering for yourselves, you do no servile work on it – a law forever in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

Lev 23:22  ‘And when you reap אה the harvest of your land do not completely reap the corners of your field when you reap, and do not gather any gleaning from your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the stranger. I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ”

5th reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 23:23 – 23:32

Lev 23:23  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:24  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you have a rest, a remembrance of blowing of trumpets, a set-apart gathering.

Lev 23:25  ‘You do no servile work, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה.’ ”

Lev 23:26  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:27  “On the tenth day of this seventh month is the Day of Atonement. It shall be a set-apart gathering for you. And you shall afflict אה your beings, and shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה.

Lev 23:28  “And you do no work on that same day, for it is the Day of Atonement, to make atonement for you before יהוה your Elohim.

Lev 23:29  “For any being who is not afflicted on that same day, he shall be cut off from his people.

Lev 23:30  “And any being who does any work on that same day, that being I shall destroy from the midst of his people.

Lev 23:31  “You do no work – a law forever throughout your generations in all your dwellings.

Lev 23:32  ‘It is a Sabbath of rest to you, and you shall afflict אה your beings. On the ninth day of the month at evening, from evening to evening, you observe your Sabbath.”

6th reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 23:33 – 23:44

Lev 23:33  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 23:34  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘On the fifteenth day of this seventh month is the Festival of Booths for seven days to יהוה.

Lev 23:35  ‘On the first day is a set-apart gathering, you do no servile work.

Lev 23:36  ‘For seven days you bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. On the eighth day there shall be a set-apart gathering for you, and you shall bring an offering made by fire to יהוה. It is a closing festival, you do no servile work.

Lev 23:37  ‘These are the appointed times of יהוה which you proclaim as set-apart gatherings, to bring an offering made by fire to יהוה, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a slaughtering and drink offerings, as commanded for every day –

Lev 23:38  besides the Sabbaths of יהוה, and besides your gifts, and besides all your vows, and besides all your voluntary offerings which you give to יהוה.

Lev 23:39  ‘On the fifteenth day of the seventh month, when you gather in אה the fruit of the land, observe אה the festival of יהוה for seven days. On the first day is a rest, and on the eighth day a rest.

Lev 23:40  ‘And you shall take for yourselves on the first day the fruit of good trees, branches of palm trees, twigs of leafy trees, and willows of the stream, and shall rejoice before יהוה your Elohim for seven days.

Lev 23:41  ‘And you shall observe it as a festival to יהוה for seven days in the year – a law forever in your generations. Observe it in the seventh month.

Lev 23:42  ‘Dwell in booths for seven days; all who are native Yisra’ĕlites dwell in booths,

Lev 23:43  so that your generations know that I made the children of Yisra’ĕl dwell in  אה booths when I brought them out of the land of Mitsrayim. I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ”

Lev 23:44  Thus did Mosheh speak of אה the appointed times of יהוה to the children of Yisra’ĕl.

7th reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 24:1 – 24:23

Lev 24:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 24:2  “Command אה the children of Yisra’ĕl that they bring to you clear oil of pressed olives for the light, to make the lamps burn continually.

Lev 24:3  “Outside the veil of the Witness, in the Tent of Meeting, Aharon is to arrange it from evening until morning before יהוה continually – a law forever throughout your generations.

Lev 24:4  “He is to arrange אה the lamps on the clean gold lampstand before יהוה continually.

Lev 24:5  “And you shall take fine flour and bake twelve cakes with it, two-tenths of an ĕphah in each cake.

Lev 24:6  “And you shall set them in two rows, six in a row, on the clean table before יהוה.

Lev 24:7  “And you shall put clear frankincense on each row, and it shall be on the bread as a remembrance portion, an offering made by fire to יהוה.

Lev 24:8  “On every Sabbath he is to arrange it before יהוה continually, from the children of Yisra’ĕl – an everlasting covenant.

Lev 24:9  “And it shall be for Aharon and his sons, and they shall eat it in the set-apart place, because it is most set-apart to him from the offerings of יהוה made by fire – an everlasting law.”

Lev 24:10  And the son of an Yisra’ĕlite woman, whose father was a Mitsrite, went out among the children of Yisra’ĕl. And the Yisra’ĕlite woman’s son and a man of Yisra’ĕl strove in the camp.

Lev 24:11  And the Yisra’ĕlite woman’s son blasphemed אה the Name, and cursed. So they brought him to Mosheh. Now his mother’s name was Shelomith the daughter of Diḇri, of the tribe of Dan.

Lev 24:12  And they put him in under guard, that it might be declared to them at the mouth of יהוה.

Lev 24:13  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 24:14  “Bring the one who has cursed אה outside the camp, and all those who heard him shall lay their hands on his head, and all the congregation shall stone him.

Lev 24:15  “And speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘Anyone who curses his Elohim shall bear his sin.

Lev 24:16  ‘And he who blasphemes the Name of יהוה shall certainly be put to death, and all the congregation certainly stone him, the stranger as well as the native. When he blasphemes the Name, he is put to death.

Lev 24:17  ‘And he who smites the life from any man shall certainly be put to death.

Lev 24:18  ‘And he who smites a beast repays it, body for body.

Lev 24:19  ‘And when a man inflicts a blemish upon his neighbour, as he has done so it is done to him:

Lev 24:20  ‘Fracture for fracture, eye for eye, tooth for tooth; as he inflicts a blemish upon him, so it is done to him.

Lev 24:21  ‘And he who smites a beast repays it, and he who smites a man to death is put to death.

Lev 24:22  ‘You are to have one right-ruling, for the stranger and for the native, for I am יהוה your Elohim.’ ”

Lev 24:23  And Mosheh spoke to the children of Yisra’ĕl, and they brought the one who cursed outside the camp, and stoned him with stones. And the children of Yisra’ĕl did as was commanded by יהוה  אהMosheh.

Again, we see the great importance of the sacred name of Yahovah and how we need to keep that name sanctified. The Rabbis however take this to the point of not ever mentioning the name and actually changing scripture when reading it to another name (Deut 4:2). The third commandment stating not to take Yahweh’s name in vain, literally means not to change or falsify it, or bring it to nothing. We are commanded to praise His name, worship His name, call on His name and glorify His name; how can you do this if you do not ever vocalize it? In essence, by not vocalizing the name Yahovah, they inadvertently bring it to nothing.

Prophets: Ezekiel 44:15-31

Eze 44:15  “But the priests, the Lĕwites, the sons of Tsaḏoq, who guarded the duty of My set-apart place when the children of Yisra’ĕl went astray from Me, they shall draw near to Me to serve Me, and shall stand before Me to bring to Me the fat and the blood,” declares the Master יהוה.

The regular priests in this sanctuary will be only the sons of “Zadok”. The high priestly order in the Millennium will be Melchi- Zedek, or king of righteousness. “Zadok” means “righteous” and this verse is showing the changeover from the Levitical order to the Melchizedek order. See all of Hebrews 7. Also look at what John the baptist, who was the last true Levitical High priest through the line of his father, said to Yahshua who was the eternal Melchizedek priest in John 3:30, ” It is necessary for Him to increase and I must decrease.”

Mar 1:1  The beginning of the Good News of יהושע Messiah, the Son of Elohim.

Mar 1:2  As it has been written in the Prophets, “See, I send My messenger before Your face, who shall prepare Your way before You,1 Footnote: 1Mal. 3:1.

Mar 1:3  a voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Prepare the way of יהוה, make His paths straight.’ ”1 Footnote: 1Isa. 40:3.

Mar 1:4  Yoḥanan came immersing in the wilderness and proclaiming an immersion of repentance for the forgiveness of sins.

Mar 1:5  And all the country of Yehuḏah, and those of Yerushalayim, went out to him and were all immersed by him in the Yardĕn River, confessing their sins.

Mar 1:6  And Yoḥanan was clothed with camel’s hair and a leather girdle around his waist, and eating locusts and wild honey.

Mar 1:7  And he proclaimed, saying, “After me comes One who is mightier than I, whose sandal strap I am not worthy to stoop down and loosen.

Mar 1:8  “I indeed did immerse you in water, but He shall immerse you in the Set-apart Spirit.”

Mar 1:9  And it came to be in those days that יהושע came from Natsareth of Galil, and was immersed by Yoḥanan in the Yardĕn.

Mar 1:10  And immediately, coming up from the water, He saw the heavens being torn open and the Spirit coming down on Him like a dove.

Mar 1:11  And a voice came out of the heavens, “You are My Son, the Beloved, in whom I did delight.”

Deu 25:5  “When brothers dwell together, and one of them has died, and has no son, the widow of the dead man shall not become a stranger’s outside. Her husband’s brother does go in to her, and shall take her as his wife, and perform the duty of a husband’s brother to her.

Deu 25:6  “And it shall be that the first-born son which she bears does rise up for the name of his dead brother, so that his name is not blotted out of Yisra’ĕl.

Deu 25:7  “But if the man does not desire to take his brother’s wife, then let his brother’s wife go up to the gate to the elders, and say, ‘My husband’s brother refuses to raise up a name to his brother in Yisra’ĕl, he does not agree to perform the duty of my husband’s brother.’

Deu 25:8  “The elders of his city shall then call him and speak to him, and he shall stand and say, ‘I have no desire to take her,’

Deu 25:9  then his brother’s wife shall come to him in the presence of the elders, and remove his sandal from his foot, and shall spit in his face, and answer and say, ‘Thus it is done to the man who does not build up his brother’s house.’

Deu 25:10  “And in Yisra’ĕl his name shall be called, ‘The house of him who had his sandal removed.’

Eze 44:16  “They shall enter My set-apart place, and they shall draw near to My table to serve Me, and they shall guard My charge.

Eze 44:17  “And it shall be, when they enter the gates of the inner courtyard, that they put on linen garments, and no wool shall come upon them while they attend within the gates of the inner courtyard or within the house.

Eze 44:18  “They shall have linen turbans on their heads and linen trousers on their bodies, they shall not gird themselves with sweat.

Eze 44:19  “And when they go out to the outer courtyard, to the outer courtyard to the people, they shall take off their garments in which they have attended, and shall leave them in the set-apart rooms, and shall put on other garments. And they shall set apart the people in their set-apart garments.

Eze 44:20  “And their heads they shall not shave, nor shall they let their hair grow long – they shall keep their hair well trimmed.

Eze 44:21  “And no priest is to drink wine when he comes into the inner court.

Eze 44:22  “And they do not take as wife a widow or a divorced woman, but take maidens of the seed of the house of Yisra’ĕl, or widows of priests.

The priest was not allowed to take a divorced woman as a wife (Lev 21:6-7). As Melchizedek priests in the New Covenant, Yahshua clearly stated that to divorce a spouse and marry another is adultery, Mk 10:11-12.

Mar 10:11  And He said to them, “Whoever puts away his wife and marries another commits adultery against her.

Mar 10:12  “And if a woman puts away her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.”1 Footnote: 1Mt. 5:32.

Eze 44:23  “And they are to teach My people the difference between the set-apart and the profane, and make them know what is unclean and clean.

Eze 44:24  “And they are to stand as judges in a dispute, and judge it according to My right-rulings. And they are to guard My Torot and My laws in all My appointed festivals, and set apart My Sabbaths.

The priests will be the judges as originally laid out in the Torah in Deut 17:8-13, and the people will honor and listen to Yahweh’s set apart leaders at this time. The priests will teach the people how to honor Yahweh’s Torah and His plan of salvation through the Holy Days.

Eze 44:25  “And they are not to defile themselves by coming near a dead man. Only for a father or mother, for a son or daughter, for a brother or unmarried sister they defile themselves.

Eze 44:26  “And after his cleansing, they count seven days for him,

Eze 44:27  and on the day that he comes into the inner court of the set-apart place to attend in the set-apart place, he brings his sin offering,” declares the Master יהוה.

Eze 44:28  “And it shall be to them for an inheritance, I am their inheritance. And you give them no possession in Yisra’ĕl – I am their possession.

The priests were not to own property (Num 18:20, 23-24 Deut 10:9), The possession of the priest was Yahweh Himself. In the millennium, the true believers who are the bride of Yahshua will also be His possession (1Cor 6:19-20) and with Him in His sanctuary and cared for, Rev 7:13-17.

Eze 44:29  “The grain offering, and the sin offering, and the guilt offering they are to eat, and all that is dedicated in Yisra’ĕl is theirs.

Eze 44:30  “And the first of all the first-fruits of all, and every contribution of all, of all your contributions, belong to the priests. And the first of your ground meal you give to the priest, so that a blessing rests on your house.

Eze 44:31  “The priests are not to eat any bird or beast found dead or torn to pieces.

Brit Hadasha: Luke 11:1 – 12:59

Luk 11:1  And it came to be while He was praying in a certain place, as He ceased, one of His taught ones said to Him, “Master, teach us to pray, as Yoḥanan also taught his taught ones.”

Luk 11:2  And He said to them, “When you pray, say: Our Father in the heavens, let Your Name be set-apart, let Your reign come, let Your desire be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Luk 11:3  “Give us day by day our daily bread.

Luk 11:4  “And forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into trial, but rescue us from the wicked one.”

Luk 11:5  And He said to them, “Which of you shall have a friend, and go to him at midnight and say to him, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves,

Luk 11:6  since a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I do not have food to set before him,’

Luk 11:7  then the one inside answering, says, ‘Do not trouble me, the door is already locked, and my children with me are in bed. I am unable to get up and give to you’?

Luk 11:8  “I say to you, if he does not get up and give to him because he is his friend, he shall get up and give him as many as he needs because of his persistence.

Luk 11:9  “And I say to you: ask and it shall be given to you, seek and you shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.

Luk 11:10  “For everyone asking receives, and he who is seeking finds, and to him who is knocking it shall be opened.

Luk 11:11  “And what father among you whose son asks for bread shall give him a stone, or if he asks for a fish shall give him a snake instead of a fish,

Luk 11:12  or if he asks for an egg shall give him a scorpion?

Luk 11:13  “If you then, being wicked, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more shall your Father from heaven give the Set-apart Spirit to those asking Him!”

Luk 11:14  And He was casting out a demon, and it was dumb. And it came to be, when the demon had gone out, that the dumb spoke. And the crowds marvelled.

Luk 11:15  But some of them said, “He casts out demons by Beʽelzebul, the ruler of the demons,”

Luk 11:16  and others, trying Him, were seeking from Him a sign from heaven.

Luk 11:17  And He, knowing their thoughts, said to them, “Every reign divided against itself is laid waste, and a house divided against a house falls.

Luk 11:18  “So if Satan also is divided against himself, how shall his reign stand? Because you say I cast out demons by Beʽelzebul.

Luk 11:19  “Now if I cast out demons by Beʽelzebul, by whom do your sons cast them out? Because of this they shall be your judges.

Luk 11:20  “But if I cast out demons by the finger of Elohim, then the reign of Elohim has come upon you.

Luk 11:21  “When a strong man, having been well armed, watches over his own court, his possessions are in peace.

Luk 11:22  “But when a stronger than he comes upon him and overcomes him, he takes from him all his armour in which he trusted, and divides his booty.

Luk 11:23  “He who is not with Me is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me scatters.

Luk 11:24  “When the unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest. And finding none, he says, ‘I shall return to my house from which I came.’

Luk 11:25  “And when he comes, he finds it swept and decorated,

Luk 11:26  then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man becomes worse than the first.”

Luk 11:27  And it came to be, as He was saying this, a certain woman from the crowd raised her voice and said to Him, “Blessed is the womb that bore You, and the breasts which You sucked!”

Luk 11:28  But He said, “Blessed rather are those hearing the Word of Elohim and watching over it!”1 Footnote: 1See 8:21.

Luk 11:29  And while the crowds were thronging, He began to say, “This generation is wicked. It seeks a sign, and no sign shall be given to it except the sign of Yonah the prophet.

Luk 11:30  “For as Yonah became a sign to the Ninewites, so also the Son of Aḏam shall be to this generation.

Luk 11:31  “The sovereigness of the South shall rise up in the judgment with the men of this generation and shall condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Shelomoh, and look, a greater than Shelomoh is here.

Luk 11:32  “The men of Ninewĕh shall rise up in the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Yonah, and look, a greater than Yonah is here.

Luk 11:33  “And no one, when he has lit a lamp, puts it in a hidden place or under a basket, but on a lampstand, that those who come in shall see the light.

Luk 11:34  “The lamp of the body is the eye. Therefore, when your eye is good, all your body also is enlightened. But when your eye is evil, your body also is darkened.1 Footnote: 1This is Hebrew idiom – a good eye means to be generous, while an evil eye means to be stingy.

Luk 11:35  “See to it therefore that the light which is in you is not darkness.

Luk 11:36  “If then all your body is enlightened, having no part dark, all shall be enlightened, as when the bright shining of a lamp gives you light.”

Luk 11:37  And as He spoke, a certain Pharisee asked Him to dine with him, so He went in and sat down to eat.

Luk 11:38  And when the Pharisee saw it, he marvelled that He did not first wash before dinner.

Luk 11:39  And the Master said to him, “Now you Pharisees make the outside of the cup and dish clean, but your inward part is filled with greed and wickedness.

Luk 11:40  “Mindless ones! Did not He who made the outside make the inside also?

Luk 11:41  “But give in kindness of that which is within, and see, all are clean to you.

Luk 11:42  “But woe to you Pharisees, because you tithe the mint and the rue and every plant, and pass by the right-ruling and the love of Elohim. These you should have done, without leaving the others undone.

Luk 11:43  “Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the best seats in the congregations and the greetings in the market-places.

Luk 11:44  “Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you are like the unseen tombs, and the men walking over them do not know.”

Luk 11:45  And one of those learned in the Torah, answering, said to Him, “Teacher, when You say this You insult us too.”

Luk 11:46  And He said, “Woe to you also, you learned in the Torah, because you load men with burdens hard to bear, and you yourselves do not touch the burdens with one of your fingers.

Luk 11:47  “Woe to you, because you build the tombs of the prophets, and your fathers killed them.

Luk 11:48  “So you bear witness that you approve of the works of your fathers, because they indeed killed them, and you build their tombs.

Luk 11:49  “And because of this the wisdom of Elohim said, ‘I shall send them prophets and emissaries, and some of them they shall kill and persecute,’

Luk 11:50  so that the blood of all the prophets which was shed from the foundation of the world shall be required of this generation,

Luk 11:51  from the blood of Heḇel to the blood of Zeḵaryah who perished between the altar and the Dwelling Place. Yea, I say to you, it shall be required of this generation.

Luk 11:52  “Woe to you learned in the Torah, because you took away the key of knowledge. You did not enter in yourselves, and those who were entering in you hindered.”

Luk 11:53  And as He was saying this to them, the scribes and the Pharisees began to oppose Him fiercely, and to draw Him out on many subjects,

Luk 11:54  watching Him, and seeking to catch Him in whatever He says, so as to accuse Him.

Luk 12:1  Meanwhile, when an innumerable crowd of people had gathered together, so that they trampled one another, He began to say to His taught ones, first, “Beware of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

Luk 12:2  “And whatever is concealed shall be revealed, and whatever is hidden shall be known.

Luk 12:3  “So, whatever you have said in the dark shall be heard in the light, and what you have spoken in the ear in inner rooms shall be proclaimed on the house-tops.

Luk 12:4  “But I say to you, My friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body, and after that are unable to do any more.

Luk 12:5  “But I shall show you whom you should fear: Fear the One who, after killing, possesses authority to cast into Gehenna. Yea, I say to you, fear Him!

Luk 12:6  “Are not five sparrows sold for two copper coins? And not one of them is forgotten before Elohim.

Luk 12:7  “But even the hairs of your head have all been numbered. Do not fear, you are worth more than many sparrows.

Luk 12:8  “And I say to you, everyone who confesses Me before men, the Son of Aḏam shall also confess him before the messengers of Elohim.

Luk 12:9  “But he that has denied Me before men shall be denied before the messengers of Elohim.

Luk 12:10  “And everyone who shall speak a word against the Son of Aḏam, it shall be forgiven him, but to him who has blasphemed against the Set-apart Spirit, it shall not be forgiven.

Luk 12:11  “And when they bring you to the congregations and rulers and authorities, do not worry about how or what you should answer, or what you should say,

Luk 12:12  for the Set-apart Spirit shall teach you in that very hour what you should say.”

Luk 12:13  And someone from the crowd said to Him, “Teacher, speak to my brother, to divide the inheritance with me.”

Luk 12:14  But He said to him, “Man, who made Me a judge or divider over you?”

Luk 12:15  And He said to them, “Mind, and beware of greed, because one’s life does not consist in the excess of his possessions.”

Luk 12:16  He then spoke a parable to them, saying, “The land of a certain rich man yielded well.

Luk 12:17  “And he was reasoning within himself, saying, ‘What shall I do, because I have no room to store my crops?’

Luk 12:18  “And he said, ‘I am going to do this: pull down my storehouses and build greater, and store all my crops and my goods there,

Luk 12:19  then say to myself, “Life, you have many goods laid up for many years, take your ease, eat, drink, rejoice.” ’

Luk 12:20  “But Elohim said to him, ‘You mindless one! This night your life shall be demanded from you. And who shall own what you have prepared?’

Luk 12:21  “So is he who is storing up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward Elohim.”

Luk 12:22  And He said to His taught ones, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you shall eat; nor about the body, what you shall put on.

Luk 12:23  “The life is more than the food, and the body is more than the clothing.

Luk 12:24  “Look at the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap, which have neither storehouse nor granary, and Elohim feeds them. How much more valuable are you than the birds?

Luk 12:25  “And which of you by worrying is able to add one cubit to his life’s span?

Luk 12:26  “If then you are unable to do the least, why do you worry about the rest?

Luk 12:27  “Look at the lilies, how they grow. They neither toil nor spin, and I say to you, even Shelomoh in all his esteem was not dressed like one of these.

Luk 12:28  “And if Elohim so clothes the grass, which today exists in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the furnace, how much more you, O you of little belief?

Luk 12:29  “And do not seek what you shall eat or what you shall drink, and do not keep worrying.

Luk 12:30  “For the gentiles of the world seek all these, and your Father knows that you need these.

Luk 12:31  “But seek the reign of Elohim, and all these shall be added to you.

Luk 12:32  “Do not fear, little flock, because your Father did delight to give you the reign.

Luk 12:33  “Sell your possessions and give in kindness. Make yourselves purses which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief does come near nor moth destroys.

Luk 12:34  “For where your treasure is, there your heart shall be also.

Luk 12:35  “Let your loins be girded and your lamps burning,

Luk 12:36  and be like men waiting for their master, when he shall return from the wedding, that when he comes and knocks they open to him immediately.

Luk 12:37  “Blessed are those servants whom the master, when he comes, shall find watching. Truly, I say to you that he shall gird himself and make them sit down to eat, and shall come and serve them.

Luk 12:38  “And if he comes in the second watch, or in the third watch, and find them so, blessed are those servants.

Luk 12:39  “And know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief comes, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into.

Luk 12:40  “And you, then, be ready, for the Son of Aḏam is coming at an hour you do not expect.”

Luk 12:41  And Kĕpha said to Him, “Master, do You speak this parable to us, or also to all?”

Luk 12:42  And the Master said, “Who then is the trustworthy and wise manager, whom his master shall appoint over his household, to give the portion of food in due season?

Luk 12:43  “Blessed is that servant whom his master shall find so doing when he comes.

Luk 12:44  “Truly, I say to you that he shall appoint him over all his possessions.

Luk 12:45  “But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming,’ and begins to beat the male servants and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk,

Luk 12:46  the master of that servant shall come on a day when he does not expect him, and at an hour that he does not know, and shall cut him in two and appoint his portion with the unbelievers.

Luk 12:47  “And that servant who knew his master’s desire, and did not prepare, nor did according to his desire, shall be beaten with many stripes.

Luk 12:48  “But he who did not know, yet did what deserved flogging, shall be beaten with few. And everyone to whom much is given, from him much shall be demanded. And to whom much has been entrusted, from him much more shall be asked.

Luk 12:49  “I came to send fire on the earth, and how I wish it were already kindled!

Luk 12:50  “But I have an immersion to be immersed with, and how distressed I am until it is accomplished!

Luk 12:51  “Do you think that I came to give peace on earth? I say to you, no, but rather division.

Luk 12:52  “For from now on five in one house shall be divided, three against two, and two against three –

Luk 12:53  father shall be divided against son, and son against father, mother against daughter, and daughter against mother, mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.”

Luk 12:54  And He also said to the crowds, “When you see a cloud rising out of the west, immediately you say, ‘A storm is coming,’ and so it is.

Luk 12:55  “And when you see the south wind blow, you say, ‘There shall be hot weather,’ and it is.

Luk 12:56  “Hypocrites! You know to discern the face of the heaven and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time?

Luk 12:57  “And why, also, do you not judge for yourselves what is right?

Luk 12:58  “For, as you go with your opponent to a ruler, try hard along the way to settle with him, lest he drag you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and the officer throw you into prison.

Luk 12:59  “I say to you, you shall certainly not leave there until you have paid even the last mite.”

Galatians 3:26-29

Gal 3:26  For you are all sons of Elohim through belief in Messiah יהושע.

Gal 3:27  For as many of you as were immersed into Messiah have put on Messiah.

An Aramaic idiom also used in (Eph 6:14, Is 59:17)

(Isa 59:17) And He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and the helmet of YAHSHUA on His head. And He put on garments of vengeance for clothing, and wrapped Himself with ardour as a mantle.

Gal 3:28  There is not Yehuḏite nor Greek, there is not slave nor free, there is not male and female, for you are all one in Messiah יהושע.

Gal 3:29  And if you are of Messiah, then you are seed of Aḇraham, and heirs according to promise.

1 Peter 2:4-10

1Pe 2:4  Drawing near to Him, a living Stone – rejected indeed by men, but chosen by Elohim and precious –

1Pe 2:5  you also, as living stones, are being built up, a spiritual house, a set-apart priesthood, to offer up spiritual slaughter offerings acceptable to Elohim through יהושע Messiah.

1Pe 2:6  Because it is contained in the Scripture, “See, I lay in Tsiyon a chief corner-stone, chosen, precious, and he who believes on Him shall by no means be put to shame.”

Footnote: Isa. 28:16  Therefore thus said the Master יהוה, “See, I am laying in Tsiyon a stone for a foundation, a tried stone, a precious corner-stone, a settled foundation. He who trusts shall not hasten away.

1Pe 2:7  This preciousness, then, is for you who believe; but to those who are disobedient, “The stone which the builders rejected has become the chief corner-stone,”

Footnote: Ps. 118:22 The stone which the builders rejected Has become the chief corner-stone.

1Pe 2:8  and “A stone of stumbling and a rock that makes for falling,”1 who stumble because they are disobedient2 to the Word, to which they also were appointed.

Footnotes: Isa 8:13 “יהוה of hosts, Him you shall set apart. Let Him be your fear, and let Him be your dread.

Isa 8:14  “And He shall be for a set-apart place, but a stone of stumbling and a rock that makes for falling to both the houses of Yisra’ĕl, as a trap and a snare to the inhabitants of Yerushalayim.

Isa 8:15  “And many among them shall stumble and fall, and be broken and snared and taken.”

Isa 8:16  Bind up the witness, seal the Torah among my taught ones.

John 3:36 “He who believes in the Son possesses everlasting life, but he who does not obey the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of Elohim remains on him.”

Heb. 3:18 And to whom did He swear that they would not enter into His rest, but to those who did not obey?

Heb 3:19 So we see that they were unable to enter in because of unbelief.

A Change of belief brings about a change of actions.

Mat 7:13  “Enter in through the narrow gate! Because the gate is wide – and the way is broad – that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter in through it.

Mat 7:14  “Because the gate is narrow and the way is hard pressed1 which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

Mat 7:15  “But beware of the false prophets,1 who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are savage wolves.

Mat 7:16  “By their fruits you shall know them. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes or figs from thistles?

Mat 7:17  “So every good tree yields good fruit, but a rotten tree yields wicked fruit.

Mat 7:18  “A good tree is unable to yield wicked fruit, and a rotten tree to yield good fruit.

Mat 7:19  “Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

Mat 7:20  “So then, by their fruits you shall know them –

Mat 7:21  “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Master, Master,’ shall enter into the reign of the heavens, but he who is doing the desire of My Father in the heavens.

Mat 7:22  “Many shall say to Me in that day, ‘Master, Master, have we not prophesied in Your Name, and cast out demons in Your Name, and done many mighty works in Your Name?’

Mat 7:23  “And then I shall declare to them, ‘I never knew you, depart from Me, you who work lawlessness!’

1Jn 3:7  Little children, let no one lead you astray. The one doing righteousness is righteous, even as He is righteous.

1Jn 3:8  The one doing sin is of the devil, because the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of Elohim was manifested: to destroy the works of the devil.

 Footnote: Titus 2:14

1Jn 3:9  Everyone having been born of Elohim does not sin, because His seed stays in him, and he is powerless to sin, because he has been born of Elohim.

1Jn 3:10  In this the children of Elohim and the children of the devil are manifest: Everyone not doing righteousness is not of Elohim, neither the one not loving his brother.

1Pe 2:9  But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a set-apart nation, a people for a possession, that you should proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light,

1Pe 2:10  who once were not a people, but now the people of Elohim; who had not obtained compassion, but now obtained compassion.

The intention of YHWH when He took Israel out of Egypt was to make a nation of priests (Ex. 19:5, 6). This did not happen due to the continual rebellion of the people, so in the New Covenant clearly the intention, as it originally was, is to make a kingdom of priests according to the order of Melchizedek (Heb 7:11, Heb 3:1)

As shown in 1Pe 1:1, this letter is written to Israelites living abroad and Peter uses a direct quote from Hosea 1:6-10, to show through Messiah these dispersed Israelites are able to be rejoined to the covenant of Yahweh, even in their Diaspora. (Hos. 1:6; 9-10; 2:1; 23; Eph 2: 11-19)

Num 6:22  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Num 6:23  “Speak to Aharon and his sons, saying, ‘This is how you bless the children of Yisra’ĕl. Say to them:

Num 6:24  “יהוה bless you and guard you;

Num 6:25  יהוה make His face shine upon you, and show favour to you;

Num 6:26  יהוה lift up His face upon you, and give you peace.” ’

Num 6:27  “Thus they shall put My Name on the children of Yisra’ĕl, and I Myself shall bless them.”
