Tazria | תזריע | “She Will Conceive”

Deu 6:4           שׁמע  ישׂראל  יהוה  אלהינו  יהוה  אחד׃

Deu 6:4  “Hear, O Yisra’ĕl: יהוה our Elohim, יהוה is one!

Tazria, Thazria, Thazri’a, Sazria, or Ki Tazria’ (תַזְרִיעַ — Hebrew for “she conceives”, the 13th word, and the first distinctive word, in the parashah) is the 27th weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה, parashah) in the annual cycle of Torah reading and the fourth in the Book of Leviticus. The parashah deals with ritual impurity. It constitutes Leviticus 12:1–13:59. The parashah is made up of 3,667 Hebrew letters, 1,010 Hebrew words, and 67 verses, and can occupy about 128 lines in a Torah Scroll (סֵפֶר תּוֹרָה, Sefer Torah).

Read the 27th or 28th Sabbath after Simchat Torah, generally in April or, rarely, in late March or early May. The lunisolar Hebrew calendar contains up to 55 weeks, the exact number varying between 50 in common years and 54 or 55 in leap years. In leap years (for example, 2019, 2022, 2024, and 2027), parashah Tazria is read separately. In common years (for example, 2018, 2020, 2021, 2023, 2025, 2026, and 2028), parashah Tazria is combined with the next parashah, Metzora, to help achieve the number of weekly readings needed.

2Pe 3:8  But, beloved ones, let not this one matter be hidden from you: that with יהוה one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

Rev 20:4  And I saw thrones – and they sat on them, and judgment was given to them – and the lives of those who had been beheaded because of the witness they bore to יהושע and because of the Word of Elohim, and who did not worship the beast, nor his image, and did not receive his mark upon their foreheads or upon their hands. And they lived and reigned with Messiah for a thousand years

Rev 20:5  (and the rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended) – this is the first resurrection.

Rev 20:6  Blessed and set-apart is the one having part in the first resurrection. The second death possesses no authority over these, but they shall be priests of Elohim and of Messiah, and shall reign with Him a thousand years.

Exo 31:17  ‘Between Me and the children of Yisra’ĕl it is a sign forever. For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, and on the seventh day He rested and was refreshed.’ ”

Exo 20:11  “For in six days יהוה made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore יהוה blessed the Sabbath day and set it apart.

Lev 25:4  but in the seventh year the land is to have a Sabbath of rest, a Sabbath to יהוה.

Lev 25:8  ‘And you shall count seven Sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years. And the time of the seven Sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years.

Rev 5:6  And I looked and saw in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders a Lamb standing, as having been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of Elohim sent out into all the earth.

Rev 1:12  And I turned to see the voice which spoke with me. And having turned, I saw seven golden lampstands,

Rev 1:13  and in the midst of the seven lampstands One like the Son of Aḏam,

Isa 11:1  And a Rod shall come forth from the stump of Yishai, and a Sprout from his roots shall bear fruit.

Isa 11:2  The Spirit of יהוה shall rest upon Him – the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of יהוה,

Heb 8:5  who serve a copy and shadow of the heavenly, as Mosheh was warned when he was about to make the Tent. For He said, “See that you make all according to the pattern shown you on the mountain.”

Exo 25:31  “And you shall make a lampstand of clean gold – the lampstand is made of beaten work. Its base and its shaft, its cups, its ornamental knobs and blossoms are from it,

Exo 25:32  and six branches shall come out of its sides: three branches of the lampstand out of one side, and three branches of the lampstand out of the other side;

Isa 11:10  And in that day there shall be a Root of Yishai, standing as a banner to the people. Unto Him the gentiles1 shall seek, and His rest shall be esteem.

Isa 11:11  And it shall be in that day that יהוה sets His hand again a second time to recover the remnant of His people who are left, from Ashshur and from Mitsrayim, from Pathros and from Kush, from Ěylam and from Shinʽar, from Ḥamath and from the islands of the sea.

Isa 11:12  And He shall raise a banner for the nations, and gather the outcasts of Yisra’ĕl, and assemble the dispersed of Yehuḏah from the four corners of the earth.

Isa 11:13  And the envy of Ephrayim shall turn aside, and the adversaries of Yehuḏah be cut off. Ephrayim shall not envy Yehuḏah, and Yehuḏah not trouble Ephrayim.

Seventh Day

Eighth Day Circumcision

Tzara’ot – commonly translated as leprosy

Torah: Leviticus 12:1 – 13:59

1st reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 12:1 – 13:6

Lev 12:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh, saying,

Lev 12:2  “Speak to the children of Yisra’ĕl, saying, ‘When a woman has conceived, and has given birth to a male child, then she shall be unclean seven days, as in the days of her monthly separation she is unclean.

Lev 12:3  ‘And on the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin is circumcised.

Circumcision was a sign of the first covenant (Gen 17:10), but here it is also a law of clean and unclean. Women who are married to men who are circumcised have a much lower rate of cervical cancer than those who are not circumcised. According to this law, believers should still circumcise their male children on the 8th day of life. Only on the 8th day of life of a male baby does his vitamin k rise so that clotting can occur after the circumcision. Truly, the Creator’s ways are perfect.

Lev 12:4  ‘And she remains in the blood of her cleansing thirty-three days. She does not touch whatever is set-apart, and she does not come into the set-apart place until the days of her cleansing are completed.

Lev 12:5  ‘But if she gives birth to a female child, then she shall be unclean for two weeks, as in her monthly separation, and she remains in the blood of her cleansing for sixty-six days.

Interestingly enough, scientific evidence shows that this is exactly the time it takes for a newborn’s immune system to build. Girls take double the time that boys do.

Lev 12:6  ‘And when the days of her cleansing are completed, for a son or for a daughter, she brings to the priest a lamb a year old, as a burnt offering, and a young pigeon or a turtledove as a sin offering, to the door of the Tent of Meeting.

Lev 12:7  ‘And he shall bring it before יהוה, and make atonement for her, and she shall be cleansed from the flow of her blood. This is the Torah for her who has given birth to a male or a female.

Lev 12:8  ‘And if she is not able to bring a lamb, then she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons, one as a burnt offering and the other as a sin offering. And the priest shall make atonement for her, and she shall be clean.’ ” Luke 2:22-24

Lev 13:1  And יהוה spoke to Mosheh and to Aharon, saying,

Lev 13:2  “When a man has on the skin of his body a swelling, a scab, or a bright spot, and it shall become on the skin of his body like Tzara’ot, then he shall be brought to Aharon the priest or to one of his sons the priests.

Lev 13:3  “And the priest shall look at the infection on the skin of the body. And if the hair on the infection has turned white, and the infection appears to be deeper than the skin of his body, it is Tzara’ot. And the priest shall look at him, and pronounce him unclean.

Lev 13:4  “But if the bright spot is white on the skin of his body, and does not appear to be deeper than the skin, and its hair has not turned white, then the priest shall shut up the infected one seven days.

Lev 13:5  “And the priest את shall look at him on the seventh day and see, if the infection appears to be as it was, and the infection has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall shut him up another seven days.

2nd reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 13:6 – 13:17

Lev 13:6  “And the priest shall look at him again on the seventh day and see, if the infection has darkened, and the infection has not spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. It is a scab, and he shall wash his garments and be clean.

Lev 13:7  “But if the scab spreads further over the skin, after he has been seen by the priest for his cleansing, he shall be seen by the priest again.

Lev 13:8  “And the priest shall look and see, if the scab has spread on the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is Tzara’ot.

Lev 13:9  “When Tzara’ot is on a man, then he shall be brought to the priest.

Lev 13:10  “And the priest shall look and see, if the swelling on the skin is white, and it has turned the hair white, and there is a spot of raw flesh in the swelling,

Lev 13:11  it is old Tzara’ot on the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He does not shut him up, for he is unclean.

Lev 13:12  “And if  Tzara’ot  breaks out all over the skin, and Tzara’ot shall cover all the skin of the infected one, from his head to his foot, wherever the priest looks,

Lev 13:13  then the priest shall look and see, if  Tzara’ot has covered all his body, he shall pronounce the infected one clean that has את . It has all turned white, he is clean.

Lev 13:14  “But the day raw flesh appears on him, he is unclean.

Lev 13:15  “And the priest את shall look at the raw flesh and pronounce him to be unclean – the raw flesh is unclean, it is Tzara’ot.

Lev 13:16  “Or when the raw flesh changes and turns white again, he shall come to the priest.

Lev 13:20  “And the priest shall look and see, if it appears deeper than the skin, and its hair has turned white, the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is a leprous infection which has broken out of the boil.

Lev 13:21  “But if the priest looks at it and sees no white hairs in it, and it is not deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall shut him up seven days;

Lev 13:22  and if it has spread further over the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is Tzara’ot .

Lev 13:23  “But if the bright spot stays in its place, it has not spread, it is the scar of the boil, and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

4th reading (עליה, aliyah) Vayikra 13:24 – 13:28

Lev 13:24  “Or when the body receives a burn on its skin by fire, and the raw flesh of the burn shall become a bright spot, reddish-white or white,

Lev 13:25  then the priest shall look at it and see, if the hair of the bright spot has turned white, and it appears deeper than the skin, it is Tzara’ot  broken out in the burn. And the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is a Tzara’ot .

Lev 13:26  “But if the priest looks at it and sees there are no white hairs in the bright spot, and it is not deeper than the skin, but has faded, then the priest shall shut him up seven days.

Lev 13:27  “And the priest shall look at him on the seventh day. If it spreads further over the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean, it is a Tzara’ot .

Lev 13:31  “But when the priest את looks at the infection of the eruption and sees that it does not appear deeper than the skin, and there is no black hair in it, then the priest shall shut up the one with the infection of the eruption seven days.

Lev 13:32  “And on the seventh day את the priest shall look at the infection and see, if the eruption has not spread, and there is no yellow hair in it, and the eruption does not appear deeper than the skin,

Lev 13:33  then he shall shave himself, but the eruption he does not shave. And the priest shall shut up the one with the eruption another seven days.

Lev 13:34  “And on the seventh day את the priest shall look at the eruption and see, if the eruption has not spread over the skin, and does not appear deeper than the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him clean. And he shall wash his garments, and he shall be clean.

Lev 13:36  then the priest shall look at him and see, if the eruption has spread over the skin, the priest need not seek for yellow hair, he is unclean.

Prophets: 2 Kings 4:42 – 5:19

2Ki 4:42  Now a man came from Baʽal Shalishah, and brought the man of Elohim bread of the first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley bread, and newly ripened grain in his knapsack. And he said, “Give it to the people to eat.”

2Ki 4:43  And his servant said, “What? Do I set this before one hundred men?” And he said, “Give it to the people to eat. For thus said יהוה, ‘Eat and have some left over.’ ”

2Ki 4:44  And he set it before them, and they ate and had some left over, according to the word of יהוה.

2Ki 5:1  And Naʽaman, commander of the army of the sovereign of Aram, was a great man in the eyes of his master, and highly respected, because by him יהוה had given deliverance to Aram. And he was a brave man, but leprous.

2Ki 5:2  And the Arameans had gone out on raids, and had brought back captive a young girl from the land of Yisra’ĕl, and she served the wife of Naʽaman.

2Ki 5:3  And she said to her mistress, “If only my master were with the prophet who is in Shomeron! Then he would recover him of his leprosy.”

2Ki 5:4  And Naʽaman went in and reported to his master, saying, “Thus and thus spoke the girl who is from the land of Yisra’ĕl.”

2Ki 5:5  And the sovereign of Aram said, “Go, enter, and let me send a letter to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl.” And he went and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of garments.

2Ki 5:6  And he brought the letter to the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl, which said, “And now, when this letter comes to you, see I have sent Naʽaman my servant to you, so that you shall recover him of his leprosy.”

2Ki 5:7  And it came to be, when the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl read the letter, that he tore his garments and said, “Am I Elohim, to kill and keep alive, that this man sends a man to me to recover him of his leprosy? For consider now, and see how he is seeking an occasion with me!”

2Ki 5:8  And it came to be, when Elisha the man of Elohim heard that the sovereign of Yisra’ĕl had torn his garments, that he sent to the sovereign, saying, “Why have you torn your garments? Please let him come to me, so that he knows that there is a prophet in Yisra’ĕl.”

2Ki 5:9  So Naʽaman came with his horses and chariot, and he stood at the entrance of the house of Elisha.

2Ki 5:10  And Elisha sent a messenger to him, saying, “Go, and you shall wash seven times in the Yardĕn, that your flesh might be restored to you, and be clean.”

2Ki 5:11  But Naʽaman became wroth, and went away and said, “See, I said to myself, ‘He would certainly come out to me, and stand and call on the Name of יהוה his Elohim, and wave his hand over the place, and recover the leprosy.’

2Ki 5:12  “Are not the Aḇanah and the Pharpar, the rivers of Dammeseq, better than all the waters of Yisra’ĕl? Could I not wash in them and be clean?” And he turned and went away in a rage.

2Ki 5:13  And his servants came near and spoke to him, and said, “My father, if the prophet had spoken to you a great matter, would you not have done it? How much more then, when he says to you, ‘Wash, and be clean’?”

2Ki 5:14  Then he went down and dipped seven times in the Yardĕn, according to the word of the man of Elohim. And his flesh was restored like the flesh of a little child, and he was clean.

2Ki 5:15  And he returned to the man of Elohim, he and all his company, and came and stood before him and said, “See, now I know that there is no Elohim in all the earth, except in Yisra’ĕl. And now, please take a gift from your servant.”

2Ki 5:16  But he said, “As יהוה lives, before whom I stand, I do not accept it.” And he pressed on him to accept it, but he refused.

2Ki 5:17  Then Naʽaman said, “If not, please let your servant be given two mule-loads of earth, for no longer is your servant going to make a burnt offering and slaughtering to other mighty ones, but to יהוה.

2Ki 5:18  “יהוה grant forgiveness to your servant in this matter: when my master goes into the house of Rimmon to worship there, and he leans on my hand, and I bow down in the house of Rimmon; when I bow down in the house of Rimmon, יהוה, please grant forgiveness to your servant in this matter.”

2Ki 5:19  Then he said to him, “Go in peace.” And when he had gone from him some distance,

Ezekiel 45:16 – 46:18

Eze 45:16  “All the people of the land are to give this contribution to the prince in Yisra’ĕl.

Eze 45:17  “And on the prince are the burnt offerings, and the grain offerings, and drink offerings, at the festival, the New Moons, the Sabbaths – in all the appointed times of the house of Yisra’ĕl. He is to prepare the sin offering, and the grain offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings to make atonement for the house of Yisra’ĕl.”

Eze 45:18  ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “In the first month, on the first of the month, you are to take a young bull, a perfect one, and shall cleanse the set-apart place.

Eze 45:19  “And the priest shall take some of the blood of the sin offering and put it on the doorposts of the House, on the four corners of the ledge of the altar, and on the posts of the gate of the inner courtyard.

Eze 45:20  “And do the same on the seventh of the month for anyone who makes a mistake or is foolish. And you shall make atonement for the House.

Eze 45:21  “In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you have the Passover, a festival of seven days, unleavened bread is eaten.

True believers in Yahshua today observe and keep the Holy days of Lev 23, as some of them such as Passover shows the redemptive work that Yahshua already did and some look forward to the redemptive work that is still ahead. It will be the same here in this sanctuary, as these days will mirror the great redemptive work of Yahweh, through Yahshua His Son.

Eze 45:22  “And on that day the prince shall prepare for himself and for all the people of the land a bull for a sin offering.

Eze 45:23  “And during the seven days of the festival he prepares a burnt offering to יהוה, seven bulls and seven rams, perfect ones, daily for seven days, and a male goat daily for a sin offering.

Eze 45:24  “And he prepares a grain offering of one ĕphah for each bull and one ĕphah for each ram, together with a hin of oil for each ĕphah.

Eze 45:25  “In the seventh month, on the fifteenth day of the month, at the festival, he prepares like these seven days, as the sin offering, as the burnt offering, as the grain offering, and as the oil.”

Eze 46:1  ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “The gate of the inner courtyard facing east is shut the six days of work, but on the Sabbath it is opened, and on the day of the New Moon it is opened.

Eze 46:2  “And the prince shall enter by way of the porch of that gate from the outside, and he shall stand by the post. And the priests shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings. And he shall bow himself at the threshold of the gate, and shall go out, but the gate is not shut until evening.

Eze 46:3  “And the people of the land shall also bow themselves at the entrance to this gate before יהוה, on the Sabbaths and on the New Moons.

Eze 46:4  “And the burnt offering which the prince brings to יהוה on the Sabbath day is six lambs, perfect ones, and a ram, a perfect one.

Eze 46:5  “And the grain offering is one ĕphah for a ram, and the grain offering for the lambs, a gift of his hand, and a hin of oil for an ĕphah.

Eze 46:6  “And on the day of the New Moon: a young bull, a perfect one, six lambs, and a ram, they should be perfect.

Eze 46:7  “And he prepares a grain offering of an ĕphah for a bull, and an ĕphah for a ram, and for the lambs as his hand attains, and a hin of oil for an ĕphah.

Eze 46:8  “And when the prince enters, he comes in by way of the porch of that gate, and goes out the same way.

Eze 46:9  “And when the people of the land enter before יהוה at the appointed times, whoever shall enter by way of the north gate to bow himself, goes out by way of the south gate. And whoever enters by way of the south gate, goes out by way of the north gate, he shall not return by way of the gate through which he came, but goes out through the opposite one.

Eze 46:10  “And the prince is to be in their midst, entering when they enter, and going out when they go out.

Eze 46:11  “And in the festivals and in the appointed times the grain offering is an ĕphah for a bull, and an ĕphah for a ram, and for lambs the gift of his hand, and a hin of oil for an ĕphah.

Eze 46:12  “And when the prince makes a spontaneous burnt offering or spontaneous peace offerings to יהוה, the gate facing east shall be opened for him. And he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings as he did on the Sabbath day. And he shall go out, and after he goes out the gate shall be shut.

Eze 46:13  “And make a daily burnt offering to יהוה of a lamb a year old, a perfect one, preparing it morning by morning.

Eze 46:14  “And prepare a grain offering with it morning by morning, a sixth of an ĕphah, and a third of a hin of oil to moisten the fine flour, a grain offering to יהוה – continual everlasting laws.

Eze 46:15  “And prepare the lamb, and the grain offering, and the oil, morning by morning, a continual burnt offering.”

Eze 46:16  ‘Thus said the Master יהוה, “When the prince gives a gift of some of his inheritance to any of his sons, it belongs to his sons, it is their possession by inheritance.

Eze 46:17  “And when he gives a gift of some of his inheritance to one of his servants, then it shall be his till the year of release, then it shall return to the prince. Only the inheritance of his sons is theirs. (Jubilee Year)

Eze 46:18  “And the prince does not take any of the people’s inheritance by evicting them from their possession. He is to give his sons their inheritance from his own possession, so that none of My people are separated from his possession.” ’ ”

Brit Hadasha: Mark 1:40-45

Mar 1:40  And a leper came to Him, calling upon Him, kneeling down to Him and saying to Him, “If You desire, You are able to make me clean.”

Mar 1:41  And יהושע, moved with compassion, stretched out His hand and touched him, and said to him, “I desire it. Be cleansed.”

Mar 1:42  And immediately the leprosy left him, and he was cleansed.

Mar 1:43  And having strictly warned him, He immediately sent him away,

Mar 1:44  and said to him, “See, say none at all to anyone, but go show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing what Mosheh ordered, as a witness to them.”

Mar 1:45  But he went out and began to publish it so much, and to spread the word, that יהושע was no longer able to openly enter the city, but was outside in lonely places. Yet they came to Him from all directions.

Mark 9:14-50

Mar 9:14  And coming to the taught ones, He saw a large crowd around them, and scribes disputing with them.

Mar 9:15  And immediately, when all the crowd saw Him, they were greatly astonished, and running near, greeted Him.

Mar 9:16  And He asked the scribes, “What are you disputing with them?”

Mar 9:17  And one of the crowd answering, said, “Teacher, I brought You my son, who has a dumb spirit.

Mar 9:18  “And wherever he seizes him, he throws him down, and he foams at the mouth, and gnashes his teeth, and he wastes away. And I spoke to Your taught ones, that they should cast him out, but they were not able.”

Mar 9:19  And He answered him and said, “O unbelieving generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I put up with you? Bring him to Me.”

Mar 9:20  So they brought him to Him. And when he saw Him, immediately the spirit threw him into convulsions. And falling on the ground, he rolled about, foaming at the mouth.

Mar 9:21  And He asked his father, “How long has he been like this?” And he said, “From childhood,

Mar 9:22  and often he has thrown him both into the fire and into the water to destroy him. But if it is at all possible for You, have compassion on us and help us.”

Mar 9:23  And יהושע said to him, “If you are able to believe, all is possible to him who believes.”

Mar 9:24  And immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, “I believe Master, help my unbelief!”

Mar 9:25  And when יהושע saw that a crowd came running together, He rebuked the unclean spirit, saying to him, “You deaf and dumb spirit, I order you, come out of him, and never again enter into him!”

Mar 9:26  And crying out, and convulsing him much, it came out of him. And he became as one dead, so that many said that he was dead.

Mar 9:27  But יהושע, taking him by the hand, lifted him up, and he arose.

Mar 9:28  And when He came into a house, His taught ones asked Him separately, “Why were we unable to cast him out?”

Mar 9:29  And He said to them, “It is impossible for this kind to come out except through prayer and fasting.”

Mar 9:30  And going from there they passed through Galil. And He did not wish anyone to know,

Mar 9:31  for He was teaching His taught ones and said to them, “The Son of Aḏam is being delivered into the hands of men, and they shall kill Him. And having been killed, He shall rise the third day.”

Mar 9:32  But they did not understand the word, and they were afraid to ask Him.

Mar 9:33  And they came to Kephar Naḥum, and having come in the house He asked them, “What was it you disputed among yourselves on the way?”

Mar 9:34  And they were silent, for on the way they had disputed with one another who was the greatest.

Mar 9:35  And sitting down, He called the twelve and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be last of all and servant of all.”

Mar 9:36  And He took a little child and set him in their midst, and taking him in His arms, He said to them,

Mar 9:37  “Whoever receives one of such little children in My Name receives Me. And whoever receives Me, receives not Me, but the One who sent Me.”

Mar 9:38  And Yoḥanan said to Him, “Teacher, we saw someone, who does not follow us, casting out demons in Your Name, and we forbade him because he does not follow us.”

Mar 9:39  And יהושע said, “Do not forbid him, for no one who works a miracle in My Name is able to readily speak evil of Me.

Mar 9:40  “For he who is not against us is for us.

Mar 9:41  “For whoever gives you a cup of water to drink in My Name, because you are of Messiah, truly, I say to you, he shall by no means lose his reward.

Mar 9:42  “And whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to stumble, it is better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea.

Mar 9:43  “And if your hand makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two hands, to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

Mar 9:44  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Mar 9:45  “And if your foot makes you stumble, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled, than having two feet, to be thrown into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire,

Mar 9:46  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Mar 9:47  “And if your eye makes you stumble, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter into the reign of Elohim with one eye, than having two eyes, to be thrown into the fire of Gehenna,

Mar 9:48  where ‘their worm does not die and the fire is not quenched.’

Mar 9:49  “For everyone shall be seasoned with fire, and every offering shall be seasoned with salt.

Mar 9:50  “Salt is good, but if the salt becomes tasteless, how shall you season it? Have salt in yourselves, and be at peace among one another.”

Luke 2:22-24

Luk 2:22  And when the days of her cleansing according to the Torah of Mosheh were completed, they brought Him to Yerushalayim to present Him to יהוה –

Luk 2:23  as it has been written in the Torah of יהוה, “Every male who opens the womb shall be called set-apart to יהוה” –

Luk 2:24  and to give an offering according to what is said in the Torah of יהוה, “A pair of turtledoves or two young pigeons.”

Luke 7:18-23

Luk 7:18  And the taught ones of Yoḥanan reported to him about all this.

Luk 7:19  And Yoḥanan, calling two of his taught ones near, sent to יהושע, saying, “Are You the Coming One, or should we look for another?”

Luk 7:20  And coming to Him, the men said, “Yoḥanan the Immerser has sent us to You, saying, ‘Are You the Coming One, or should we look for another?’ ”

Luk 7:21  And in the same hour He healed many of diseases, and afflictions, and wicked spirits. And He gave sight to many blind ones.

Luk 7:22  And יהושע answering, said to them, “Go, report to Yoḥanan what you have seen and heard: blind receive sight, lame do walk, lepers are cleansed, deaf do hear, dead are raised, the Good News is brought to the poor.

Luk 7:23  “And blessed is he who shall not stumble in Me.”
